PhotoGenie is an online photo decorating tool that makes your photo oh-so-dazzling by adding flashing stickers and more. You can create special effects in your photo like embossing, inverting, black and white, and blurring. The finished photos can be downloaded to your computer, posted in your blog and shared with your friends.
A Sticker is an add-on element used to customize your photos and WizCard, which includes but not limit to these: glitter, graphics, frames, backgrounds, text, ink, patterns and music.
No, you don't need an account to use WizCard and Photogenie. However, we do recommend that you sign up since there are a lot of features reserved to members:
There are two ways to set your avatar. Upload your own or use the camera function in WizCard/Photogenie.
Upload your own pictures. To do that go to your account page and click on the "Edit Profile" on the right. Then click "Change Avatar" and upload your own picture.
When creating a WizCard or decorating photos in Photogenie, there is a camera icon next to "Save" button, which helps to capture a picture for your avatar. Simply click the camera icon, and then position the camera on your artwork/photo and click "Save".. A portion of your WizCard/photo will be saved as your default avatar.
Click the "Create a WizCard" and start the process. You will be redirected to the WizCard edit page. There are many tools and graphics you can use to make your WizCard, as explained below.
Pencil
The pencil tool is for drawing random lines. You can change the line width, color and opacity by using the Size and Line Color/Opacity bar below the tools.
Curve
Use the Curve tool to draw curvy lines and shapes. Simply draw a line and drag the triangle arrow
to any direction until the desired line appears.You can also change the line width, color and opacity by using the Size and Line Color/Opacity bar below the tools. Select a color in the Fill Color/opacity tool and you can create an interesting shape like this one
Line
This tool helps you to draw straight lines. You don't have to worry about shaky hands.
Stamper
Click the Stamper and select from the many pre-drawn shapes and graphics below the tool. You can change the size, color and opacity of the stampers. This tool saves you time drawing shapes and adds interest to your WizCard
Polygon
The polygon tool allows you to create multi-sided shapes like hexagons, pentagons, etc. You can select as many as 25 sides to draw the shape. You can also change the size, Line Color/Opacity and Fill Color/Opacity of the shapes.
Oval
Oval tool helps you to create oval and round shapes in different size, color and fill.
Text
Use the Text tool to write text in different color, size and font. If you want to change the text format, click "edit" to change the color, size and fonts.
Magicwand
The Magicwand tool provides a series of graphics of different categories. Simply choose one category and the Magicwand will bring you 5 different graphics. For example, click the Magicwand and select "Butterflies" graphics below. Then click the blank canvas to add the butterflies. Every click will add a different types of butterfly to your WizCard.. Frame
The Frames tool allows you to frame your WizCard with tons of frame selection.
Backgrounds
Want to save some time drawing? The Backgrounds tool will do the work for you. You can select from our pre-drawn backgrounds and add some of your own touch. Within a few minutes your WizCard is done!
Graphics
The Graphics tool provides small still or animated graphics to add some spices to your artwork. Simply select from multiple categories.
Music and Sound
Treat your ears with beautiful melodies when your eyes are entertained. You can select from the music list and add to your WizCard.
Line Color and Opacity
Choose the line color by clicking the arrow on the bottom right corner of the color button, e.g.

Fill Color and Opacity
Choose the Fill color by clicking the arrow on the bottom right corner of the color button, e.g.

Undo/Redo
Undo button returns to last step of your creating process. Redo button goes to the latest step of WizCard creation.

Move
Click the Move button to drag the whole WizCard around.
Edit
Edit button allows you to edit each individual sticker, frame or background. Click Edit and then select the object you want to change. A sample will look like this:
You can change the size and direction of the graphics. You may also move the graphic to different layers or delete the individual graphic.
Reset/New
This Button allows you to create a new WizCard from the beginning.
Preview
Preview button allows you to see the whole creation process of the WizCard before saving it.
Avatar Creator
The camera button can capture an avatar from your WizCard to use in your AllMyMagic account.
Save
Clicking Save button will save your WizCard in AllMyMagic. You can then send it to your friends or post it in your personal online space like Myspace and Facebook. If you are logged in, the finished WizCard will also be saved in your AllMyMagic account for your use later.
a) First, you need to upload a picture. There are three ways of uploading a picture to PhotoGenie:
My Files - Upload a photo from your computer
To do that click the Browse button under My Files and select a JPEG, PNG or GIF file from your computer hard disc. Please note that the image file could not exceed 2 megabytes. Then click "Make it Dazzling", which will take you to the Photogenie page.
URL Images - Use images on the web in Photogenie
Enter the URL of the web image that you want to use. The URL must begin with "http://" and end with ".jpg", ".png" or ".gif". The image file size cannot exceed 5MB. A sample URL is like this:
http://www.allmymagic.com/frontImages/images/logo.gif . Then click "Make it Dazzling", which will add the image to the Photogenie page.
Webcam - Take a picture using your PC camera and upload to Photogenie
If you have a PC camera attached to your computer, click "Webcam" A small window will pop up like this: Click "Allow" and you can take a photo using your own webcam.
Click "Capture" and then "Next Step" You may then process the photo in Photogenie.
b) After you upload a photo, it is processed on our server. Then we redirect you to Photogenie where you can add some sparkling stickers, glitter text and special effects to your photo. Photogenie provides plenty of tools for you to perform the magic.

Click the Stickers Button and select sticker from various category of the gallery. Then click on photo your to add the sticker. You can resize and move the sticker later using the Edit button.
Text
Use the Text tool to write text in different color, size and font. You can resize and move the sticker later using the Edit button.
Glitter Text
Click this button and select a glitter text style from the gallery. Then compose any phrase you like and add the text to your photo.
Pen
The pen tool is for drawing random lines. You can adjust the line width and use any sticker as ink. You can use a sticker with a solid color, or an animated glitter sticker to write with glitter!
Fill
Select the Fill button for large areas that you would like to cover, and click on the area to fill. PhotoGenie will make its best guess at filling the area. Use it to fill you backgrounds with any sticker you want.
Move
Move any sticker or add-ons on your photo with this button. Select Move button, click the sticker and drag to desired location. You can also use Edit button to move stickers and any add-ons.
Make Stickers and Add-ons Larger/Smaller
Select the "Larger" and "Smaller" button, and then click on the sticker or add-ons to gradually increase or decrease its size. You can also use Edit button to resize any stickers and any add-ons.
Reset
Select Reset button to remove all add-ons and stickers on your photo. You can then start to edit the photo again.
Undo
Select Undo button to return to last step of photo editing.
Delete
Select Delete to remove any sticker or add-on on your photo, one by one.
Edit
Edit button allows you to edit each individual sticker or add-on. Click Edit and then select the object you want to change. A sample will look like this

Sharpen
The Sharpen tool improves photo's clarity. It focuses blurred images by increasing the contrast of adjacent pixels.
Blur
The Blur filters soften the entire image.
Black and White
The Black and White Tool changes the all the colors in a picture to black, white and grey.
Invert
The Invert tool inverts the colors in an image, meaning turning the existing colors to their contrasting color. For example, if most of your uploaded photo is red, the Invert tool will turn the red to green.
Emboss
The Emboss tool adds texture to photos, often for a 3D effect. The filters also are useful for creating a fine-arts or hand-drawn look.
Color
The Colors tool allows you to change the picture color by adjusting the portion of three basic colors: Red, Green and Blue.
Advanced
The Advanced tool allows you to adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation and hue of your photo to your satisfaction.
Remove All Effects
Clicking this button will remove all the above special effects on your photo.
Avatar Create
The camera button can capture an avatar from your done photo to use in your AlllMyMagic account.
Save
Click this button and save your finished photo. You can then share with friends or post in your personal online space. If you are logged in, the finished photo will also be saved in your AllMyMagic account for your use later.
If the Photogenie is loading and seems to be stuck while displaying messages like "Initializing Photogenie" or "Loading images", your browser memory is probably full. Please clear your browser cache and reload the page. This might also be caused by low browser memory available, please try restarting your computer if you are still having problems. If you are using the AOL browser, please try using Internet Explorer, Firefox or Netscape.
